Morecom is an independent, privately owned specialist consulting firm that focuses on project development and project financing in Africa and the Middle East.We specialize in the identification, initiation and coordination of infrastructure projects in emerging and frontier markets with a particular focus on West Africa.
The company has an extensive track record of successful projects in power generation and transmission, water and wastewater treatment, healthcare, infrastructure and light industry. We are part of a family-owned and managed group of companies that traces its roots to the early 1970s with the establishment of a general trading business in the Netherlands focused on developing links with West Africa.

We have extensive experience in providing project finance solutions specially by working with multilateral and bilateral aid agencies as well as international fund managers and commercial banks on EPC and PPP projects.
Funding is often structured according to the OECD’s Official Development Aid (ODA) parameters, with typical transactions size ranges between € 20 million and € 300 million. Through our extensive experience, we have access to major international financial institutions as well as private and institutional investors. Our direct access to these financiers allows us to assist borrowers to realise their projects by identifying suitable sources of funding. Projects we have worked on involved funding solutions from the World Bank, International Finance Corporation (IFC), African Development Bank (AfDB), Netherlands Government, Belgian Government, Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, OPEC Fund for International Development, Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, Danish International Development Agency, Investment Fund for Developing Countries (IFU), Atradius, Credendo and UK Export Finance (UKEF), amongst others.
